Gallery Wall Inspiration

You know how I have been wanting to create a gallery wall, with a lot of pictures and posters that I have collected throughout the time. I have collected a lot of frames and posters from flea markets that I have attended or in presents. The only thing I am looking forward to is to get a bigger place where I could start decorating. I can't wait :)

Here is a few pictures for inspiration in case you are also planning to work on a picture wall. What do you think?

DIY blink blink earrings

I had the instant urge on Friday to make myself a pair of earrings that are delicate but still catchy. Since I love the combination of the dragon vein beads with czech crystal beads, I decided to experiment with these two types of beads. You can use anything you want, also in terms of sizes. I think that 10 mm is great- not too small and not too big, so I recommend it. I think that a smaller size might be lost, and too small, if you use smaller size of beads.

    What do you need?
  • Round pliers
  • Cutting pliers
  • 2 beads of your choice (10 mm)
  • 2 crystal beads (10 mm)
  • 2 silver hooks
  • 2 silver head pins (I used 70 mm but 40-50 can do it for you for sure :))
First, you should place the beads on the head pin and  cut it by leaving around 1 mm of the pin that we will use later to make the eye for the pin. Use the round pliers to make the eye by slowly twisting the pin until you get a round eye, place the hook and VOILA, you have your perfect blink-blink earrings for Friday night.

What do you think?

Happy week!

DIY bracelet

My mini workshop for the past week. Welcome!

I am quite keen on DIY projects with semiprecious stones recently since when I was in Bulgaria, I noticed that they are quite popular. I have now my little collection of gemstone jewellery and I wanted to hear what you think about them. Do you have any in your jewellery box? Favourite stones?

For this DIY,  I chose to use blue howlite turquoise that you can buy HERE. I like to handpick the stones usually but if there is no local shop where you can get them, you can try ebay.

HERE is a nice WIKI tutorial that may help you in the making. If you are interested in some other tutorials for jewellery I will be happy to record some, just let me know.

If you are interested in the healing  power of the stone, it is a great remedy for insomnia and also understanding your dreams... quite interesting when you start reading about the different healing powers of the stones. :) (my new passion)

What do you think about this DIY?

Weekend DIY Inspiration

I hope you, guys, are enjoying the lovely weekend. The weather here has not been really the best but I am trying to get as much as I can.

Since I am searching for my perfect summer clutch, I have been looking through the net, trying to find something that I like in the normal price range. Well... it has been quite hard, I think so far. What I found though was a super inspiring DIY project from Style Scrapbook

Her yellow clutch DIY is so amazing that instead of buying one, I have decided to try and make one myself. It's a truly amazing  DIY PROJECT and I am hoping to be able to find the right materials soon, I will eighter  try and find the yellow colour that Andy from Style Scrapbook used or may be the dark blue I am so crazy about.

SO... what do you think?

Christmas Advent Calendar DIY

As promised, the Christmas Calendar DIY:P

That is the calendar that I made for my boyfriend this year:)I am really proud of the result and he was really happy about the gesture and my effort I put in it:)

Step 1:
Here are some things you need in order to prepare it:

24 envelopes, different sizes or what I did was to cut the small envelopes in two and have them in half
Some Christmas paper that you can use as a background
White A3 Paper, I put together 4 pieces of A3 paper in order to get the size
I also needed some colorful paper to make it more cheerful
24 Christmas socks, those ones are textile and I have not bought them but of course you can use whatever you want to draw the numbers

Step 2:

That is the actual process, for me it took time because I have had a lot of classes so I did not have that much time to do it so I use only my evenings but can be done in a day of course.

Step 3:

This step was the most challenging for me as it represents all the presents. I first did not think about how I am going to fit them in my calendar so it was pretty difficult to place all the present at one and the same time. I am putting now every day a present in, or a clue where to find it:)

What can you put in the calendar?
I used different candy of course, games, socks etc. You can get all the inspiration you need, stopping by the local supermarkets etc.

I hope you enjoyed it:)

Christmas has arrived in Denmark

Hello dear ladies:)

How are you? Enjoying the Christmas spirit and the cold weather?
The first real snow has arrived in Denmark, everything is white and so pretty. I spent the day at home enjoying the view from the window and watching the Sunday program on the TV :)

Exam time is so close and I know that I should study and start preparing for them, but it just feels so good to be laze and enjoy myself:):D

I have tried a pretty cool DIY project that I made actually for my boyfriend. It is a Christmas Calendar, from 1-24th December, where he has a small present every day. Stay tuned tomorrow and I am going to show you some pictures.

Now I have prepared my wishlist for Christmas, may be you can get some inspiration.:)

Those items are just a part of a long list that I have sent to my family. To them I have also added vouchers to some of my favorite shops, some things I would like to have in the kitchen and many more:D

What do you think? Have you already prepared your wish list?

kisses and enjoy your Sunday!

DIY: Hair Inspiration

I found this amazing and very simple hair style on a blog today and thought I should definitely share it with you girls:)
I am looking forward to try it actually tomorrow and show you the result:)
Follow the instructions and the pictures and hopefully we will rich the effect we want!

How to:
First you should divide the hair into four sections as shown on the pictures, start making the braids on the front. Tie them off using elastic or pins. Twist back with a pin and voila, the first part is ready:)
Then repeat the same again as pictured. Simply amazing and pretty:)
If you have tried it before, tell me how did it go.

DIY: Organizer for your Beauty Accessories

Hello girls,

The last three days I have not been very active but I am back:)
I saw a great idea at the Beauty Department, how to organize your accessories like hair brushes, pins etc. I don't know if the situation is the same with you, but for me, everything gets so fast messy. I put everything together and after a couple of hours I can't find anything:) So annoying! I have lost so many pins at the time i need them to make my hair or something.

Anyways, now I have found this great solution and I love it. This is my first try also to use the glitter spray, so needed to repeat but got better after the 2nd time:)
Check out the instructions below and I hope this is going to be enough for you to complete the project. One advice, Be careful with the glitter spray, do it slowly and divide it equally on the jar.

What do we need:
-Scissors
-Wide tape
-Jar-as many as you want and different sizes
-Glitter Spray (You can also use more than one kind of spray)

How do we do it:

Step 1: Clean the jar very well
Step 2: Put the tape in a shape you want it to be-I used just this simple stripes but you can do whatever you think of:)
Step 3: I recommend you to put gloves, as I did not use, and I had glitter all over my hands
Step 4: Go out, don't do it at home because you need to spray a lot and the glitter goes all over the place and smells a lot after that.
Step 5: After you are done spraying, wait until it is completely dry. With the first try I did it too early.
Step 6: Voila:) You can put all your pins, brushes etc. in the jar while enjoying that everything will be again in order:)

I hope you enjoyed it:)
If you try it some time, please, let me know about the result.

Fashion Memos.
